Liver Elastography & Fat Quantification Ultrasound
Liver Elastography Ultrasound is a special type of ultrasound that checks the stiffness of the liver. It is mainly used to find out if there is liver damage, scarring (fibrosis), or liver disease. The test sends sound waves into the liver and measures how fast they move — stiffer areas mean more damage. It is safe, painless, and does not use radiation. Liver elastography helps doctors check the health of the liver without doing a biopsy. It is commonly used for people with hepatitis, fatty liver, or other liver problems.
