Cervical Disc Prolapse
A cervical herniated disc or Cervical disc prolapse is diagnosed when the internal core of a disc in the neck herniates or leaks out of the disc, and strains on a nearby nerve root. It normally occurs in the 30-to-50-year-old age group. While a cervical herniated disc may arise from some sort of injury or neck injury, the symptoms usually start immediately. The numbness and tingling can be present down the arm and into the fingertips. Muscle vulnerability may also be present.

Symptoms Of Cervical Disc Prolapse
Neck Pain
Persistent or sharp pain in the neck, especially near the prolapsed disc.
Radiating Pain
Pain may radiate from the neck into the shoulders, arms, and hands. This is often referred to as radiculopathy.
Numbness And Tingling
A herniated disc can compress nerves, causing numbness or tingling in the shoulder, arm, hand, or fingers.
Headaches
Cervical disc prolapse can sometimes trigger headaches, particularly at the back of the head.
